Know well the state of your flocks, and pay attention to your herds, for riches are not forever, nor does the crown endure to all generations. The hay is removed, and the new growth appears, the grasses of the hills are gathered in. The lambs are for your clothing, and the goats are the price of a field. There will be plenty of goats' milk for your food, for your family's food, and for the nourishment of your servant girls. Proverbs 27:23-27

Primrose from Native Egg Farm

Primrose was born February 3, 2026.  She was supposed to come to us in May, but sadly, her dam was killed by a dog, so she is now with us!  She will be dehorned by banding as soon as her horns go in a bit more.  We like to band horns closer to fall so that when they fall off, fly season is just about over.

I am very excited to add this lovely toggenburg doeling to our herd.  She will bring in the milk supply to so many generations after her.  My plan is to breed her this fall to our buck, Ivry, for some adorable mini-toggenburg kids next spring!

Keep watching to see how she grows into motherhood!
