Hello and Welcome!

Hello and Welcome!

Thank you for visiting our little website.

We are blessed to have a little farm where we raise Nigerian Dwarf goats, guard dogs and a couple cats.

Our animals are unregistered, however, we do keep pretty decent records for our goats.  It is very important to us to raise high quality animals that are healthy and happy.  We have had a few challenges, but all our goats are doing really well now.

2024-early 2025 was our building time.  We attained all our senior does, our senior buck, and Fiddle, a junior doe during this time.

In February of 2025, we had the first doeling born on the farm that we would be keeping.  This doeling, Cricket, was out of Cookie (x Ivry). [Cookie previously-8/24/24-gave birth to a single buckling, but he was sold.]

After Cricket came Pollen and Dynamite out of Duette (x Ivry) in April 2025.
To these three, we purchased Fiddle as a buddy for Cricket, however, Cricket got bloat and had a long, difficult recovery.  But, PRAISE GOD, she made it!
We also purchased a second buck, Akatsuki in May 2025.

We finally had some more kids in June out of Gretl (x Ivry); Gem and Joey.  Joey was sold. In October, we sold Gretl to a little family north of us.  She may come back to us for breeding when she is ready. Gem is retained by Sofia at Forgotten Tradition.

In July, two of our does delivered twin kids; both delivering a boy and a girl. Heidi kidded first with Faith and Methuselah. Bettina (Heidi's dam) delivered Obsidian "Sid" and Onyx. (Sid was sold)

In the Spring of 2026, we welcomed 11 kids!  Three doelings out of Cookie, 1 buck each out of Pollen, Dyna and Cricket. Quads out of Heidi (one was sadly stillborn), a buckling and three doelings.  Then twin bucklings out of Gem.

Cricket and her buckling, Flower, were sold to a local farm.  One of Cookie's doelings is retained by my daughter at Forgotten Tradition Goats, and the other two have been reserved.

I will be retaining one of Heidi's doelings and 1 of Gem's bucklings.  Please see our sale page to see which bucklings and doelings are still available for sale.

Thank you again for visiting our site.  We pray your day is blessed.

If you are interested in buying a goat from us, please leave a comment and I will reply as soon as possible.

Selling Cricket

April 23, 2026, we said goodbye to Cricket and her buckling, Flower.  It was hard to see her go, but it didn't really hit me until after the new owners drove away and chores had been done.

Once I came inside and began cooking supper, I realized what I had done.

Cricket was such a joy.  The first doeling out of my beloved Cookie-girl.  Cricket's battle with coccidiosis almost took her from us, but she is a fighter, and she won the battle and came out stronger for it.

She had a hard delivery with Flower--he was a big buckling!  But, she made it through that and recovered nicely.

Once I realized I had sold this most beloved doeling, I broke down in tears.  It didn't last long, and when my daughter (not Sofia) got home from work and was able to let me cry out all my tears with a big hug, I was able to think logically.

Unfortunately, I can't keep all the kids.  Of course, we would not want to keep all the bucklings, though we could just wether them.  Farming isn't just about breeding, milking and processing, but there needs to be some income to fund the whole venture.

So, Cricket was a good sell.  The farm is local, and the new owner sent me an update the next day showing that Cricket and Flower were acclimating to his herd quite well.

Relief.
